Traveling Reads and Traveling T's!

Updated: Jul 3, 2018

Are you summer ready?

For us, summer so far has meant nights next to each other working or binge-watching a newfound favorite series. We have been able to indulge in delicious time together while the kiddos are on their own summer vacation. We have also tackled multiple transitions: moving in, job changes, riding up and down the highway. Being able to sit together in quiet closeness for extended periods is nothing less than a gift. It has been another honeymoon of sorts, and I have not taken any of it for granted.

But two focused Tauruses can only sit still for so long. We have added Traveling T's to the site because we TRAVEL OUT LOUD and want you to be able to do so as well. T's available now or you can take your chances and get a free t-shirt by participating in the giveaway.

Do you have a fav T yet? Or an idea you wouldn't mind seeing on a T? Many thanks to those who have purchased a Traveling T! Can't wait to see the pictures.

We have also begun our summer Traveling Reads! journey with fantastic books— a mixture of classics to revisit and some new author adventures. In case you decide to join in on this trip, our list (for starters) is below:

Freshwater by Akwaeke Emezi

Haruko/Love Poems by June Jordan

House of Impossible Beauties by Joseph Cassara

our name be witness by Marvin K. White

Pat Greene by Anondra Williams

Shaming the Devil by G. Winston James

She Called Me Woman by Azeenarh Mohammed, Chitra Nagarajan, Rafeeat Aliyu

Starbook by Ben Okri

The Gilda Stories by Jewelle Gomez

Two Moons by Krystal Smith

Zami by Audre Lorde

What are you reading right now?

As always, we wish you safe and happy travels no matter where the season takes you!
